It’s always great to hear you’ve made a bride happy on her wedding day.
“We found Erik Patton through a local website. He was very detail orientated and professional when we spoke. We set up a meeting for an engagement session in a town local to my husband and I, but considerably out of the was for Erik, but he emphasized how he wanted to make things easy for us.
The day of our engagement session was a gloomy day of rain and wind. I was sure that we would have to cancel, but Erik kept the appointment and met at a local landmark carousel to take some beautifully whimsical pictures indoors (talk about lemons to lemonade!). He also used the wet weather to our advantage, capturing some playful photos of us playing in the rain. Aside from this wet session, we rescheduled another date just in case these non-traditional photos were not what we wanted for our announcements.
The second session was a picture perfect day. We got many breathtaking shots which incorporated the beauty of our surroundings, the architecture on the grounds, and the simple moments between my husband and I. Erik’s style is non-obtrusive, and his photos are digital, so the sheer volume of photos he took were so abundant that he caught some amazing moments.
The wedding was outdoors and Erik met with us the night before to assure that he was aware of all of the formal shots we wanted, beyond the more candid wedding shots. He arrived early, and did a great job capturing the joy of our preparations.
During the ceremony, he seemed to be everywhere from the variety of shots and angles he achieved, without being distracting. The formal photos were symmetrical, and well orchestrated, and while the rest of the guests had appetizers, he shot the wedding party in a more vogue style which came out amazing.
Our reception was crazy and it felt like the night passed in a whirlwind. It was only weeks later, when I got to go through the proofs that I began to remember (fondly) the wonderful collection of laughs and memories which made up the night. Erik literally captured the essence of my special day.
I could not possibly have been more pleased with Erik Patton. I will recommend him to every bride I meet and will absolutely call him for all my photography needs.”
