I had the pleasure of working for Tufts Health Plan again this year covering their annual volunteer day. The company, located in Watertown, has a foundation arm that gives grants to local organizations. I was fortunate enough to visit Community Servings, Community Rowing, and Waltham Fields Community Farm; at the company headquarters I photographed volunteers working for Project Hope.
Volunteers had the opportunity to work on a service project that was of the greatest interest to them, be it working in a kitchen, weeding fields, or creating games for small children. It was a bit of a crazy day of hitting multiple locations but well worth it in the end. Tufts Health Plan is known as a Boston area “Top Place to Work” which is evident from the many smiles, even from those hot and dirty working in the field wedding kale plants or filling hundreds of grocery bags for residents without access to a healthy diet.
Below are a few of my favorite shots of the volunteers in action. I’m looking forward to next year!
