Mobile studio with lighting equipment and background

Taking the studio on the road to events

When you hear the term "photo studio" you probably think about a fixed space, maybe with lights mounted on the ceiling and backdrops mounted on a wall.

Those are certainly still around, but most photo equipment is designed to be portable because a lot of photo assignments happen on location. If you're photographing a CEO, for example, you may want to do it at their business to include it in the photographs.

I've done tons of these location shoots, which means I've gotten really good at hauling my equipment around.

Everything gets packed in dedicated cases and loaded onto a cart that gets wheeled from my car to the setup location. Once there, I can set up a background and couple of studio lights in about twenty minutes.

That means it's relatively easy to add a studio setup to an event, as long as there is adequate space. I only need about a 10x10 foot spot, so a corner of a ballroom or lobby is all that's needed. Add a couple of outlets, and I'm all set.

Highlight your VIPs

Chances are you've got some VIPs at your event that you'd like to highlight. Sure we can grab a shot of them speaking, at their table, or as part of an impromptu group shot. But with the studio setup, with just an extra couple of minutes, you can get high quality images that are more impactful.

And if you have multiple VIPs, the resulting images will all have the same look and feel. You'll look polished and professional in your publicity of the event.

Drop in Headshots

With people working hybrid schedules, getting everyone into the office for a session with a headshot photographer can be a scheduling nightmare.

But if you've got your team together for you event, they can stop into the mobile studio for a few minutes for a quick headshot.

No need to hire for a separate day and location. Again your photos will be consistent because they're done at the same time.

Step and Repeat

The mobile studio can be easily modified to work with your step and repeat background. We can arrange in advance to hang it using my stands and grip equipment or I can setup my lights with your setup.

Photobooth

Working with an assistant, I can also use the mobile studio as a photobooth for your event. With a fun background and a few props, capture some fun images of your team having some fun at the event.

We can also upload the images right away, so people can post on social media during the event.

With the mobile studio, there's no need to coordinate another vendor for a photobooth. I'll also be less expensive since I'm already working on site.

If you're having an event, adding my mobile photo studio can really elevate the photography. Not only will you get a lot more variety than standard event coverage, you can tailor the photos to your message, be it professional, fun, or both.
